Eleanor moved to Switzerland in June 2015 to join Medair as CIO. Prior to that she was with World Vision for almost 11 years, where she was CIO in Canada, WV International and then Sr. Director of Global Marketing Solutions. Eleanor has a B. Math. in Computer Science, an M.Math in Statistics and an MBA. She began her career in Investment Banking where she led Front Office Technology in different lines of businesses, and has worked as consultant as well.
Since arriving at Medair last year, Eleanor led the IT team to strengthen support for core business functions and started the migration to cloud based solution. The new IT strategy focuses on enabling Medair to achieve its goal to deliver innovative, accountable and high quality humanitarian action. Medair does this by enabling innovation in the use of existing and newer technologies, being innovative in improving process efficiency and effectiveness, and providing the tools and support for monitoring and evaluation and analytics. For example, they recently deployed a cloud based architecture that allows data collected in the field to be shared in dashboards anywhere in the world as required.
Medair will be starting to migrate to Office 365 and are looking for a new CRM and a Supply Chain Management solution which supports the work in remote locations with no to extremely limited connectivity.
