Cameron Birge has recently joined Microsoft Philanthropies as their Humanitarian Response Manager, responsible for coordinating the company’s response to humanitarian disasters around the world. He previously spent ten years in the aid industry having served as an emergency program and logistics officer in the United Nations World Food Programme in South Sudan, Kenya, Pakistan, and Rome and as a project manager for United Nations Office for Project Services in Mogadishu. Prior to that, he was an infantry officer in the United States Army. He now fully resides in Seattle and finds the rain quite refreshing.
