Renee Barron currently serves as Habitat for Humanity International’s (HFHI) Associate Director for Disaster Risk Reduction and Response, responsible for US and Canada Field Operations. This position oversees disaster preparedness, daily hazard monitoring, initial emergency response, and long-term recovery initiatives for more than 1400 affiliates across North America. Previous roles with HFHI include strategic planning and program support to Habitat’s National Office in Haiti as well as program design and development of training materials for Habitat’s Veterans Build program. Prior to joining Habitat, Renee served for eight years as an Air Force Intelligence Officer with four deployments to the Middle East and Southwest Asia. She is currently a Traditional Reservist stationed at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, Ga.Renee holds a Masters of Development Practice from Emory University and a Masters of Management from American Military University.
